The Senior Financial Analyst position is a part of the MIM finance team. The MIM team is primarily responsible for performing comprehensive financial modeling and analysis for Leading Provider of Insurance and Other Financial Services s Investment Management Business .

Key Responsibilities:

Own the compilation, refinement and automation of the monthly MIM Management Committee report, including
Performing comprehensive financial modeling and analysis for Leading Provider of Insurance and Other Financial Services s Investment Management Business, including attribution of current projection variances to plan and prior year actual results.
Working closely with Portfolio Managers and Asset Sector Specialists to obtain inputs to run the financial models underlying the projection.
Analyzing data and process flows to improve modeling accuracy.
Gain in-depth understanding of all outputs from the financial model and provide attribution of the results.
Own quarterly Assets under Management reporting for Leading Provider of Insurance and Other Financial Services 8K/Investment Fact Sheet, as well as pitch books, investor presentations and the Investment Management Business website.
Provide financial support for ad-hoc analysis for Leading Provider of Insurance and Other Financial Services s Investment Management Business.
Work on financial modeling /analysis for strategic decision support related to initiatives such as new products and structures, product pricing, strategic transactions, etc.
Provides financial support and analysis for monthly sales, Assets Under Management and Revenue modeling / projections.
Own the compilation of quarterly Assets Under Management for the Investment Management Business, including Leading Provider of Insurance and Other Financial Services s General Account, Separate Accounts, and Unaffiliated Third Party Investors. Lead efforts to streamline and automate the data flow.
Expected to identify and implement process improvements and enhancements
Ad-hoc requests. Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

10+ yrs. financial experience in a public or private company environment.
10+ yrs. working with Excel in a Corporate environment, including the use of more complex Excel functions, such as pivot tables and V-look-ups.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Preferred:

CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Aptitude in building and adjusting spreadsheet models/databases.
Exposure to reporting platforms such as Power BI preferred.
Working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, and practices related to investments and asset management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Proven organizational skills; demonstrated attention to detail.
Ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
Flexible, adaptable and able to handle multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently as well as with teammates.
Ability to work additional hours during peak quarterly reporting and plan times.
